Performers from six counties in our area are preparing for a Memorial Day weekend show that is free to the public.
The East River Mountain Town Band is comprised of singers and performers ranging from 16 to 89-years-old.
The band was formed 15 years ago to give people in the community a chance to perform family friendly shows.
"From marches to patriotic tunes to classical pieces, we're going to do a Michael Buble medley of three tunes he brought back from older tunes," said Mel Saunders with the East River Mountain Town Band.
The first performance will be on May 25 at 6 p.m. in Chicory Square in Bluefield.
The band will then travel to Pipestem State Park for a performance on May 26 at 8 p.m.
