On Thursday a bridge collapsed that forced the closure of a major highway north of Seattle.
There is still no resolution for Chinese dissident Chen Guancheng.
The blind activist escaped house arrest last week and spent six day in the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. But after he voluntarily leaving the embassy, Chen now says he doesn't feel safe in China and wants to leave the country.
Chen even made a phone call into a congressional hearing Thursday to make a direct appeal for help from America.
U.S. officials say they are talking with China to reach an agreement.
