BECKLEY -

One area hospital welcomed a new face that will lead the medical operations next year for the National Boy Scout Jamboree .

Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley hosted a Boy Scout Luncheon for Dr. Robert Dunne.

Dunne is from Detroit, Michigan and has accepted the position as the EMS Medical Director for the 2013 National Boy Scout Jamboree.

He says he's excited to play a role in the biggest event to hit Raleigh and Fayette County.

"Well the community first, I think the community has some of the best commitment that I've ever seen," said Dunne. "I've worked special events in different places in the country and certainly all over my home state and this community, I would say has stepped up to the plate and is doing a tremendous, tremendous job."

Dr. Dunne will begin working alongside other medical leaders in July to plan for nearly 47,000 visitors coming to the Bechtel Summit on July 2013.
