With one week until Memorial Day, one Wyoming County cemetery is making a major change that has some community members pretty upset.

HANOVER -
The West Virginia State Police from the Gilbert detachment was nearly ran down by a man wanted by police.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. Saturday in Hanover in Wyoming County.
The Wyoming County Sheriff's Office was doing a traffic stop on wanted vehicle. That's when the sheriff's office called-in backup by the West Virginia State Police out of Gilbert.
When police approached the vehicle, the suspect, Mathew Hackney, from Virginia jumped out of his car and fled. After police pursued Hackney, he jumped back into his car and sped towards a Trooper, nearly hitting him. Police then fired their gun, shooting the suspect in his arm while he fled in his car.
Hackney was taken into custody by the Virginia State Police and is recovering in a hospital in Roanoke.
He is charged with attempted murder and traffic violations.
