Another pill dealer is off the streets as a Summers County may pleaded guilty to charges of selling Oxycodone.
It was one of the most fiercely fought campaigns in Raleigh County.
The race between Drema Bias Evans and her challenger Jerry Zafateros for Assessor came to a close Tuesday night.
Evans won with more than a 15 point margin against Zafateros.
"I would like to say it's been a tough campaign and I'd like to apologize to the people in Raleigh County, the voters in Raleigh County, for the negative campaign that my opponent has run. I think Raleigh County deserves better, but having said that, I'm really pleased with what people have said to me," said Evans of her win on Tuesday.
Evans won with 58 percent of the vote, while Zafateros came in at 42 percent.
