
While it was a very thrilling night for the victors in the primaries, it was a disappointing night for voter turn out.
Fayette County Clerk Kelvin Holliday said the turn out of voters was very low.
He said he was anticipating at least 40% to show up but the voters just didn't come out.
"I think the weather played a big factor today it rained a big part of the day. We had early voting in places all over and we did everything we could to get people to come out and vote and they still didn't" Kelvin Holliday said.
Only about 28% came out to vote on Tuesday's primaries.
