SHADY SPRING -

More than 300 students from five area schools will have a special field trip to a farm in Shady Spring this week.

The Southern Conservation District is holding their Farm Field Day on Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11 at the Don Windon farm.  Kids in from Hinton Area, Mullens, Beckley and Divide Elementary Schools will join the YMCA of Southern West Virginia's Happy Kids Pre-School from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The kids will move between five stations where they will learn about Soil, Farm Animals, Egg Testing and Crafts.  They will also have a chance to see the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office Blood hound.
