Just For Kids, Inc. is offering the public to attend a Family Awareness Conference on Thursday, May 24th to be held at the Lewis Christian Community Center in Oak Hill.
The conference will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to the public. There is a $15 registration free to cover continuing education credits and lunch. Scholarships are available to those who may unable to pay the registration fee.
The theme of the conference is child abuse. Four areas will be covered during the conference, neglect, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.
Twelve other sessions will be presented throughout the day including; Internet safety, stewards of children, body awareness, prevent child abuse West Virginia, and the link between domestic violence and child abuse.
The Fall Family Awareness Conference was held in the spring and 125 people attended the day long event.
