The following is a press release from Concord Athletics:

Concord women's golfer Marina Erice concluded her appearance at the NCAA East Regional
with her best round of the tournament.

The sophomore from Pamplona, Spain fired a 78 in Tuesday's third and final round, moving her up four spots to 33rd place on the individual leaderboard. Erice finished with a total of 244 after three days on the par-72, 5511-yard Findlay Country Club course in Findlay, OH.

Erice started slowly Wednesday, going six over par over the first seven holes. She birdied the par-4 9th hole, and after a bogey on the 10th, posted another birdie on the par-4 11th hole. Erice played the final seven holes in one over par.

The top three teams, and the top three players from teams outside the top three, advance to the Division II National Championships later this month. The squads from Indianapolis University (IN), Grand Valley State (MI) and California University (PA) move on, along with individuals Katrina Choate (Drury University), Brooke Albers (Findlay University) and Erin Misheff (Ashland University).

Erice ends her sophomore season as the WVIAC's Player of the Year and the winner of a remarkable four consecutive conference tournaments. She was the second Concord player to earn an NCAA bid in the brief four-year history of the program and was the WVIAC's lone post-season representative this year.
