BECKLEY -

A Beckley man pleads guilty to federal charges.

Benjamin Webb is charged with burglary as well as aiding and abetting the burglary of a federal post office.

Webb admitted that on October 30, 2011, he and another person went to the Fairdale Post office and broke in using a sledgehammer.

The post office was closed at the time.

Webb also admitted he stole nine packages and fled the scene.

The packages were addressed to him and contained quantities of prohibited synthetic stimulants commonly known as "bath salts."

Webb faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced in August 30.
