National Prevention week will be held May 20-26, 2012.
National Prevention Week is a new SAMHSA-supported annual health observance that will celebrate the work that community organizations and individuals do year-round to help prevent substance abuse and promote mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
Mercer County will be participating in the week by playing host to a 5k run.
The 5k run will be sponsored by Community Connections in Mercer County. Thursday, May 24th as part of SAMHSA's National Prevention Week 2012 they are asking folks to join in a 5k prevention run at the Princeton Health and Fitness Center. Registration will start at 6:00 p.m. and the race will begin at 7:00!
