Bluefield Boil Water Advisory Lifted

West Virginia American Water has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory that affected nearly 200 customers along Route 19/Princeton Avenue in Bluefield.

Customers on from the old Bluefield-Princeton Bridge to Bowman Street, Dexter Street, Virginia Avenue, Franklin Street, Green Street, Ronceverte Street, Myrtle Street, Bowman Street, Talbot Street and Jackson Street were impacted.

According to a press release from WV American Water, results of water quality testing following a value replacement along a main water line have shown no signs of contamination. Residents in the effected areas no longer need to boil their water prior to consumption.

In the press release, West Virginia American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation, and encourages them to share this information with other customers in the effected area.
