Big names came to the Resort at Glade Springs to tee-off in the annual Remember the Miners Tribute Golf Classic.
NLF player Randy Moss and WVU's basketball coach Bob Huggins were just two of the big names to attend the event.
The golf classic raises scholarship money to provide finical aid to descendant of miners.
Matthew Curry of Princeton and Whitney Justice of Avondale are two of the 14 recipients.
"We were selected based upon our families which were very involved in the mining culture of West Virginia. It is such an important part of our culture in West Virginia so it is such an honor to be here," Matthew Curry, scholarship recipient said.
"I had to be a descendant of coal miners and my dad and grandfather are. And the scholarship will help me a lot to get into college and it will help to give me the drive to accomplish what I need to do," Whitney Justice scholarship recipient said.
Both Curry and Justice plan on going to Bluefield State in the Fall. Curry will study business and Justice take on "pre-med."
A big congratulations to all of the 14 scholarship winners.
