The Tazewell Athletic Foundation broke ground on a one million dollars training facility for all Bulldog athletes.

Supporters of the training facility turned out for Friday's ceremony on Bulldog Stadium at Tazewell High School.

The two story building will house locker rooms, training facilities, and coach's offices.

For those making the athletic facility a reality it's a great day to be a bulldog.

"This has been a lot of hard work. We had a dream and it came to fruition," said Ronnie Mullen who is a member of the foundation.

Chad Murray is the Foundation President and he said the building is for all Tazewell High School athletes, "one of the big things we want to do was build a building that facilitated everything for all of our student athletes male and female and all sports as well."

The facility has been funded through area businesses, anonymous foundations, and the communities' contributions.

The Ramey Family donated 100,000 dollars toward the project. "This is just a matter of giving back. It's better to give than receive," said Jim Ramey.

Construction is expected to start in the coming weeks and the athletic training facility is scheduled to be completed by next spring.
