Mothers on a mission raise awareness about bullying in Mercer County.
The Mercer County Coalition Against Bullying was founded following the death of Dalton Walker, 12, in March.
Family and friends attribute Walker's death to suicide after being bullied at Princeton Middle School.
Spokesperson Cathy Parson hopes the coalition will serve as a resource to students and parents in the community to let them know they are not alone in this struggle.
"I think that the biggest misconception is that the bullies are really bad and they're not. We want to reach out to not just the victims but the bullies. We want to show them they they don't have to bully to get attention. We want them to join our group. We're going to have a fishing day and a festival. We want all the kids to come and have a good time," said Parson.
The Mercer County Coalition Against Bullying is hosting their next meeting at the Princeton Recreation Center on Tuesday, May 22.
The coalition will be discussing Mercer County's new Safe Schools Policy and is encouraging the public to attend.
