The
Shady Spring softball team had first crack at postseason play.
The
Lady Tigers beat Oak Hill to win the sectional crown. In the regional
semifinal, Shady trailed James Monroe 3-0. The team scored four runs to win
4-3.
Now,
the squad will face Liberty in the regional final.
The winner will be one of four teams to advance to the state tournament. Liberty won the region last
season.
The
Shady Spring baseball team begin its playoff run a week later. After losing its
first game in sectionals, the Tigers rebounded to sweep a doubleheader against
top-seed Oak Hill to earn the sectional crown.
The
Tigers will take part in regional play next week.
