Young Adults with Autism May Find it Harder to Get a Job

Posted: Updated:

According to a new study in the Journal Pediatrics, young adults with autism have a harder time getting a job, compared to people with other disabilities.

Numbers show autistic adults are 50 percent less likely to have a job in the first two years after high school than other special ED students.

They are also less likely to pursue higher education.

This year in the U.S, approximately 50,000 kids with autism will turn 18.
