Working Out the Kinks at the Raleigh County Judicial Center

Posted: Updated:

Workers at the Raleigh County Judicial Center are working out the kinks of moving into their new office building.

Employees experienced phone problems throughout the center a little more than a week ago, but now technical problems have since been fixed.

Magistrates are housed on the first floor, the family law judges along with the circuit clerk are together at the second floor and circuit judges are on the top.

Raleigh County Commissioner Pat Reed said she is pleased with the center, "We've been told by the Supreme Court that this makes us number 1 in the state as far as our equipment and how will be able to operate our trials."

Reed said security officers at all the buildings have done a great job to direct people where they need to go and who they need to see in the move.

The move into the Raleigh Judicial Center has freed up office space for elected officials who are looking to expand in the Raleigh County Courthouse.
