The Beckley Police Department teams up with community members to make improvements.
A meeting was held Monday evening at the Beckley Regular Baptist Church on Johnstown Road.
The goal of the meeting was to provide the public with an opportunity to share their thoughts and concerns about crimes and other issues in the East Park community.
"A lot of times what we feel is a concern to the citizens is not always what they feel the problem is," Beckley Police Chief Tim Deems explained, "so we want to get together and meet and discuss some issues that may be going on in the community and some things they want us to work on."
Top officials with the Beckley Police Department, Common Council members and other community leaders were on hand to answer questions.
