Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20. A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County. The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

Authorities at the Beckley Correctional Facility are searching for a missing inmate. Joshua Greenwood was reported missing late Monday night. Guards say he was unaccounted for in a 10:15 p.m. head count.

The Upper Big Branch Mine explosion made West Virginia the No. 1 state for workplace fatalities in 2010, according to a report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The April 5 explosion killed 29 people, which is about 30 percent of the 95 who died in the workplace in West Virginia that year, The Associated Press reported.
West Virginia's workplace fatality rate in 2010 was 13.7 per 100,000 full-time equivalent workers, the AP reported.
Wyoming was second on the list, with 33 workers dying on the job in 2010, according to the AP. Wyoming had a workplace fatality rate of 12.9.
Alaska was third on the list with a rate of 11.5, according to the AP.
New Hampshire had the lowest rate in 2010 with 0.9, followed by Massachusetts at 1.8. the AP reported.
