Students at Rainelle Elementary School in Greenbrier County know exactly what to do when word of a tornado comes over the intercom.
A section of road in the heart of uptown Beckley was closed for a few hours during lunch time on Thursday due to a water main break.
A six inch line burst at the intersection of Neville and Heber Streets in front of the Raleigh County Judicial Center
City crews were out breaking through asphalt to get to the problem areas.
For Beckley's City Engineer, Gary Buchanan, water breaks like this one are common this time of year and motorists need to be more aware when driving through the city
"Defiantly slow down our work crews are exposed to the traffic and it would be nice if the public would give them a little break," said Buchanan
The water break did not disrupt service to any Beckley water customers.
