A sharp increase in the number of meth labs over the past few months is bringing a call to action by all law enforcement agencies in parts of our area.
The YMCA of Southern West Virginia has opened up registration for the 2012 YMCA Cheer Camp.
Cheer Camp is scheduled to be held June 4th thru 6th in the gym of the YMCA of Southern West Virginia.
The three day camp is for grades from Kindergarten to 12th grades. Campers will participate in daily exercise and learn how to do and perfect jumps, stunts, routines, to sideline cheers.
The camp will be begin daily from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Cheer Camp Director, Mary Beth Garcia, is a former West Virginia University cheerleader and now is a teacher at Crescent Elementary School. Garcia is the currently the coach for the Beckley Blaze All-Stars.
Garcia said the camp is for everyone, "it's just a time to get out and have a good time and get active."
The cost to attend is 100 dollars per camper it includes daily lunch, a camp t-shirt and awards.
To sign up for Cheer Camp forms can be picked up at the YMCA of Southern West Virginia.
Thirty participants joined last years YMCA Cheer Camp.
