Exercise Could Help Psoriasis in Women

Posted: Updated:

A new study shows vigorous exercise may reduce the risk of psoriasis in women.

Psoriasis is a common condition that leaves patients with large, itchy, scaly patches on their skin.

Researchers in Boston found that two hours of running a week reduced the risk of psoriasis 25 to 30 percent.

Aerobics also helped, but more moderate exercise like walking had no benefit.

Past research has linked physical activity to decreased inflammation.
