BECKLEY -

A plea hearing was held in Raleigh County over an armed robbery that happened in January.

Kristopher Niday, 22, of Crab Orchard pleaded guilty in first degree robbery in front of Judge John Hutchinson.  The hearing was held at 9:30 a.m.

Niday admitted that he participated in the Jan. 15 robbery at Mama Lina's video lottery parlor in Harper Heights.  Niday apparently knocked to get the clerk to open the door, allowing another man to rush in armed with what prosecutors said was a BB Gun.  They stole $1,400.

Niday received a 20 year suspended prison sentence.  He will serve two years at the Anthony Correctional Center for Youthful Offenders.

William Perryman, 25, was allegedly Niday's accomplice.  Perryman was arrested in February for allegedly robbing the Whitesville State Bank in Glen Daniel.
