This week's Trading Places has Lauren Weppler out from behind the anchor desk to take on the role of director for the noon show at WVNS-TV.
Weppler was taught how to direct the show from Rodney Wheeler, who has directed at WVNS-TV for more than 20 years.
"We have video on server three, video on server two, and a live shot from the ENG truck," Wheeler told Weppler.
Even though Weppler had directed shows in college she said he was still apprehensive, "heck, yes I'm nervous."
Wheeler wanted to stress to Weppler the importance of focusing during the show, "the better I do my job the better it makes everyone else look."
12 p.m. hit and Weppler stayed focus to direct the show, "unbelievable this is my first time out and I didn't mess up yet."
