PRINCETON -

2 Mercer County individuals were behind bars Wednesday, facing numerous federal charges following their alleged participation in a conspiracy to sell drugs in both Mercer and McDowell Counties.

Jerry Poore, 44, and Jill Sells, 27, both of Mercer County, were indicted in U.S. Magistrate Court on Tuesday. According to the charges, both individuals were involved in selling oxycodone and oxymorphone in both the Maybeury area of McDowell County and the Bluewell area in Mercer County in late 2011.  

Sells is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, May 30 before Judge R. Clarke VanDervort.

Both defendants are currently being held at Southern Regional Jail.
