MERCER COUNTY -
Corey Samuels, 29, was convicted on Wednesday, May 23 in the shooting death of Dewayne Steptoe.
A jury found Samuels guilty of first degree murder with mercy. Steptoe was fatally shot in front of Club Savoy in downtown Bluefield in September of 2009.
Samuels will serve a life sentence with the possibility of parole in 15 years.
