Pakistan and U.S. Disagree on Status of Bin Laden Informant

Posted: Updated:

U.S. Officials said Pakistan should release a doctor who helped America kill Osama Bin Laden.

The Pakistani doctor was sentenced to 33 years in prison for his role in Bin Laden's death. Defense Secretary Leon Panneta said the doctor is a hero who helped save lives.  Pakistan has ruled he's a traitor.

The arrest and conviction has put even more strain on the U.S.-Pakistan relationship.
