Federal prosecutors say they'll ask for more time to indict Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Pool lovers came out to cool themselves down at New River Park Pool Saturday afternoon.
Despite the cloudy skies swimmers were hitting the pool deck on New River's opening day.
Lifeguards at New River Park Pool have been getting the pool ready since May.
The pool was filled with water on Monday to get the temperature and chemicals precise before swimmers would hit the water.
Lifeguards said they want parents to keep a watchful eye on their children throughout the summer.
"Well we have so many kids to watch which we do, but still keep an eye on your kids. Be where you can see them," said Emily Hughes a lifeguard at New River Park Pool.
Hughes also said on days with overcast conditions it's still very important to put sunscreen on your child and yourself to stay well protected in the sun.
