Neville Street is closed down for the party as bands and visitors start the celebration to show their support for the United Way of Southern West Virginia.

Entertainers will be on the stages outside and inside of the Lost Parrot.

For those involved in making Parrot Palooza a possibility its a big day for charity, "it's neat to see everybody getting involved giving back and having success in raising money for charity while having fun," said Julian Chipley the Owner of the Lost Parrot.

Band members who will be performing Saturday night did so at discounted prices to help out and support the local efforts of the United Way.

Lead singer of the band Gage, Todd Hanchock said it's a great way to give back and get seen and heard at the same time, "we are hoping people in the music scene around here who don't' know us get a chance to listen to us."

Parrot Palooza will be lasting until 11 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the United Way of Southern West Virginia and the numerous counties they serve.
