West Virginia's new $14.1 million veterans cemetery will be dedicated at a Memorial Day ceremony in Institute, WV.

The Donel Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery has the capacity to serve as the final resting place for about 60,000 veterans. Sen. Jay Rockefeller will help dedicate the cemetery Monday afternoon.

The new cemetery sits on a 354-acre site near the State Police Academy.

Kinnard was a longtime veterans advocate.

He died in 2009.
