Gas prices in West Virginia continue to drop slightly after the Memorial Day weekend.

AAA East Central said the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the state is $3.66.

That's down 1.8 cents from last week.

West Virginia drivers are paying a little more than the national average, which is $3.63 per gallon.

Prices in the state range from $3.59 in Weirton to $3.77 in Parkersburg.

Gas prices have receded statewide since peaking at about $3.97 in early April.
