BLUEFIELD -
After 1-year since officials activated the Bluefield Pill Initiative-- a crack down on drugs---U-S Attorney Booth Goodwin is calling the plan a success.
Goodwin, law enforcement and city officials gathered today to review the the efficiency of the program and Goodwin says the task force has successful landed over 10 drug dealers behind bars.
And he said the crack down won't stop there.
"We have cast a wide net and we will continue to cast a wide net so that if you are a drug dealer this is not the place you want to deal drugs and we are going to continue the fight. And if you think you are going to come here to pedal your poison you better look some place else," Booth Goodwin WVa. US States Attorney said.
Goodwin attributes the success of the Bluefield Pill Initiative to the hard work and collaborate effort of law enforcement and city government.
