BUTLER, Pa. -

Trailing 6-0 heading into the fourth inning, the Miners scored nine runs in four innings, but then gave up three in the eighth to lose, 10-9.

Will Blalock drove in three runs and Alex De La Rosa drove in two runs as the Miners drop to 2-1.

Reliever Hunter Brothers took the loss for the team.

West Virginia wraps up its series with Butler on Friday before returning home for a series against Lorain.
