Rain or shine, Lewisburg merchants are keeping their doors open past normal business hours tonight for June's First Fridays event.
Various shops downtown will offer complimentary refreshments and entertainment, and many merchants are featuring their new summer products.
This month's First Fridays highlights art that represents historic Lewisburg.
"There is a group of artist that every year on this particular First Friday, they set up their easel and drawing boards outside along the sidewalks in downtown and draw certain parts of Lewisburg and then submit those drawings to a voting contest that happens at the visitors bureau tomorrow," said Monica Maxwell of Harmony Ridge Gallery.
The Greenbrier Valley Quarterly is having a public reception to honor their 2012 Art Class at Harmony Ridge Gallery.
First Fridays lasts until 9 p.m. in downtown Lewisburg.
