Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20.  A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County.  The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

John and Margaret Robinson claimed a $1 million prize in Charleston on Monday for matching five numbers on the May 15th West Virginia Powerball lottery.

John made the discovery on Saturday, after returning from a trip to Washington D.C.

Although his step-daughter told him several times someone from the R.J. Dry Hill Merchants store where he purchased the ticket had won, he never thought the winning ticket could be his.

After a second trip since the May 15th drawing, on Saturday, he finally decided to double check.

His wife Margaret was in the next room. "I thought something had happened to him because he had open heart surgery last year and it scared me. I said what is wrong? He said we're in the money and he showed me the ticket online and I was in total shock."

The Robinsons said they plan to use the money to pay off their home and get out of debt.
