The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources has issued a boil water advisory for residents in the area served by Northfork Water Works.
The advisory was issued because of a water leak that lead to low system pressure.
While the advisory is in effect, residents should bring any water used for drinking, cooking or hygienic purposes to a full rolling boil for at least one minute. The water should then be allowed to cool before use.
