RONCEVERTE -

UPDATE:  Fire crews are now looking into what caused a massive blaze in Greenbrier County Saturday evening.

Crews from Ronceverte, Fairlea and Lewisburg responded to put out the blaze.

When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed.

While they tried to extinguish the fire, two firemen were trapped, and were forced to jump out of a third story window.

They were both transported to an area hospital and their conditions are unknown.

"The fire got behind two of my guys and entrap them in the structure," said Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department Chief Casey Morgan. "At that time, they were forced to exit out of a third story window, onto a porch roof and ultimately fell to the ground."

Chief Morgan says that it is undetermined whether anyone was inside of the home when the fire started.

Right now, the cause of the fire is under investigation by the West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office.
