Daredevils were taking a thrilling trip down the Burning Rock Express Saturday afternoon, and it was all to help out a good cause.
Burning Rock Outdoor Adventure Park at Tams hosted a zip lining event and a portion of the proceeds went to benefit the local chapter of the Relay for Life.
Organizers say the Relay for Life walk is just around the corner and this event will help in finding and funding a cure.
"It's extremely important," said Pat Davis with the Relay for Life. "First of all, it raises money to fight cancer itself. It also get awareness out in the community. It gives the community the opportunity to have fun, while they're doing a good deed for a good cause."
Davis adds that the Relay for Life walk in Raleigh County will take place on July 13 at the Crossroads Mall in Bradley.
She says you can contact the Relay for Life office to organize a team or to donate to the cause.
