Every Tuesday through Friday this summer the Salvation Army is holding their "Kids Off the Streets" program.

It's a day camp for underprivileged kids and today, June 13, they kicked off the event with a cookout at the South Fayette Street location from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The program will offer field trips to youth museums and other activities through out the course of the summer.

The Salvation Army is still accepting applications, up to 60 kids can participate.

The day camp runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
