Do Pregnant Women Need to Avoid Alcohol?

Posted: Updated:

A new study finds moderate drinking during early pregnancy doesn't seem to hurt the child later on.

Danish researchers followed pregnant mothers who had 8 drinks or less a week during their first tri-mester.

Those children were tested five years later.

Their IQ, attention span and organizational skills were similar to other kids.

However, researchers say its probably safest for women to avoid alcohol during pregnancy.
