Domestic Call Leads to Arrest on Drug Charges

A man was arrested for cultivating marijuana after deputies responded to a domestic battery call in Nicholas County.

Thomas Brooks Underwood, 38, was arrested at around midnight on June 20.  Nicholas County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home on Key Road in Drennon.  They were there to serve domestic battery warrants, but during the arrest, Deputies notices marijuana growing on the property.

Underwood faces charges of cultivating marijuana and domestic battery.  He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.
