The sudden and abrupt announcement Raleigh General Hospital has put a stop to cardiac stent surgery has been causing a lot of concern within the community.

A Greenbrier County town is at the top of the leader board in a contest to name the state's best Fourth of July celebration.
Alderson is leading Ripley, Charleston, Fayetteville, and Wellsburg in West Virginia Living Magazine's electronic voting contest.
The competition allows voters to decide which city takes the crown for the best Fourth of July celebration.
"Our fireworks are tremendous. We have a ground display. They're phenomenal. We have a Niagara Falls and all kinds of moving fireworks on the ground. If you have not seen it, it's well worth your time," said Karen Lobban of Alderson.
This year's Fourth of July Celebration in Alderson runs June 28-July 5.
Fireworks will be on display Sunday, July 1 at 10 p.m. and Wednesday, July 4 at 10:15 p.m.
