UPDATE:

More information is expected today in regards to the death of Jeffrey Shane Godsey of Wyoming County.

State Police are holding a press conference this afternoon at 1:00 to release more information.

59 News will have all of the latest information.  

 

A body found in Summers County on Saturday, June 23 has been identified as Jeffrey Shane Godsey, 34, of Wyoming County.

West Virginia State Police headquarters in Beckley confirmed the identity.

No arrests have been made in connection to the death, pending an autopsy report.

Trooper Davis and Corporal Duke are heading the investigation.

Godsey was found at Bull Falls Road in Summers County Saturday.

Cause of death has not been confirmed.

West Virginia State Police and the Summers County Sheriff's Department are continuing to investigate what Sheriff Dolphin says is a suspicious death.
