BECKLEY -

How do faith-based organizations help during an emergency situation?

That's the focus of the second of three faith-based emergency preparedness meetings.

It happened Monday at the Dream Center on Pinewood Drive in Beckley.

Speakers focused on the roles churches play in preparing for and recovering from an emergency.

Organizers say faith-based organizations play a curial role in getting information out when a disaster strikes.

The next meeting is set for July 26th.

It will focus on community emergency response teams and the role faith based organizations can play in that program.
