Kids at one elementary school in Greenbrier County experienced a taste of the past Wednesday.
It's a time honored tradition that has survived the sugar shortages of World War Two and even a controversy over what constitutes a lemonade day.
On Friday, the Bluefield Chamber of Commerce served up another round of juice at select locations throughout the city.
"Everybody gets along and enjoys themselves, and the food. I think it's a good thing that a community can come together. It's peaceful. It's warm. And god is good," said Christopher Dye, who was among those raising a glass to the warm sunny skies.
And with the mercury hitting the 90 degree mark again on Friday, yet another lemonade day is in store for Monday.
The lemonade will be served from 11a.m.-3p.m. at Chicory Square, Cole Harley Davidson, Graham Square, and Food City in Virginia.
