Justice Thankful for Help in Getting Old White Ready

Posted: Updated:

Greenbrier Owner Jim Justice hit the links on Monday, July 2 as events leading up to the Greenbrier Classic begin.

Justice teed off in the first of two pro-ams just after 1:30 p.m. He teamed up with is son Jay and Professional Golfer Boo Weekly.  One other amateur golfer complete the foursome.

Justice said he appreciates all of the volunteers who helped get the course ready.  Without them, Justice said they would not be teeing up on the Old White.

"It's ready," said Justice. "What I want you to do is be able to go out there and say 'Hey, did they even have a storm here?'...I don't want you to go there and say 'They did a good job and we had a good time considering what happened.'"

Mondays Pro-Am was held on the Old White Course. The second is scheduled for Wednesday.

On Tuesday, July 3 there are several practice rounds scheduled throughout the day, as well as a youth clinic and at First Tee 3-Hole Scramble.
