Greenbrier Classic Brings West Virginia into National Spotlight

The eyes of the world are focused on White Sulphur Springs over the next few days.  The Greenbrier Classic is the shining jewel of West Virginia and on display on National television.

More than 300 members from CBS Sports and the Golf Channel have descended on Greenbrier County.  Their production compound has eight different production trucks are on site, ready to broadcast this event to the world. CBS Sports Coordinating Producer, Lance Barrow said this event will get plenty of publicity from around the globe.

"The PGA Tour figures over a half a billion people around the world will watch some part or all of the telecast of The Greenbrier Classic, from Thursday to Sunday," said Barrow

Coverage of the Greenbrier Classic began on Thursday, July 5 on the Golf Channel and will continue on Friday, July 6. Then on Saturday and Sunday CBS Sports will pickup on the tournament.
