LEWISBURG -

Selfless volunteers have spent hours, even days in the hot sun handing out bottled water and a bag of ice to people at the Lowe's in Lewisburg.

The free bottled water and ice pick-up continues at Lowe's under the sponsorship of First Energy.

Volunteers are helping provide relief to those people who are still suffering from the power outage.

"I've got to give a shout-out to our Boy Scouts of America, AmeriCorps young adults, AmeriCorps youth express is here, as well as the Lowe's, American Red Cross Folks. In classic West Virginia spirit, everyone is pulling together and making this happen," said John Norman with First Energy.

Volunteers have made it possible to hand out more than 7,000 bags of ice and tractor trailers full of bottled water.

The pick-up is each day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
