Southern West Virginians will be competing for a good cause this weekend.

The 4th annual Kickin' and Wishin' Kickball Extravaganza will kick off at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 15, at the Paul Cline Memorial Sports Complex in Beckley.

All proceeds go to the Make a Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia.

Event Organizer Chris Meadows said it's much more than a fundraiser.

Meadows said he hopes to accomplish three goals during the tournament, which include raising awareness for Make-A-Wish, raising funds, and having a good time while enjoying the area.

There will be free food, live bands and door prizes.

To get involved, contact Chris Meadows at 304-237-6492.
